Some more frozen thawed help please

I see you may be switching live to f/t and mice to rats at the same time. That may add some problems too. I had to switch to f/t mice first. Then I used a frozen mouse rubbed on the thawed rat to trick the snake a few times. I've seen people on here say they use dirty mouse bedding from the pet store to scent the rat.

Thanks again you maybe right. I planned to live until my local store has not had the right size rats or mice two weeks now. Can you feed two live mice at once?

You can. Basically you put one in the tub, and after it is consumed (past the neck, I usually wait for the "yawn" afterwards) you can drop the second one in

Cool thanks, he came out for my frozen thawed, tongue going crazy strike position, then I got the f u I'm not eating that. Little bugger ill try live tomorrow. I have no problem with live. Just was hoping for a larger feeder this time. Obviously ft are more consistent to come across so I was hoping! Thanks for your help.

I would try feeding before bed as opposed to early in the morning. As they are nocturnal animals their feeding instinct is more in tune then. This might help.

I got lucky and mine was already eating F/T rats when I picked her up from the breeder.

Thanks, problem is my sons ball is in his room, he is six so he goes to bed around 8. Normally Mario I Ina hide when we put him to bed. Maybe ill arrange to feed on a weekend when my son is up later.

Maybe I am just lucky, but mine seems to feed anytime in the evening. I can offer just before 6 or not until 10 or later and she hasn't refused yet. I also feed on an erratic schedule, so I don't feed on the same day every week. She still gets at least 4 meals a month, but I figure if she doesn't expect a meal every Friday, she may be more willing to eat when it is offered. Also, they don't know when their next meal in the wild will be, why should that change because she lives with me?

Anyway, I'm off on a rant now. Hopefully some of the more experienced keepers can give you some advice if Mario doesn't start eating F/T soon as I have never had to attempt the switch.
