This is probably terrible advice, but I would be inclined to tell him if he gives me the snake, I won't report him for animal abuse. Don't pay him for the snake, as that is not rescuing, it's just enabling him to continue his crap-care.

Sadly...I agree. This snake needs to be rescued and will require quite a bit of rehabilitation. He should be reported for animal abuse and I would absolutely not provide any more animals to him for fear he would mistreat and abuse them. See if you can rescue the snake or find someone in the area with means to rescue and rehab him, he will be a lot of work but the poor guy deserves it.

That person shouldn't have any animals PERIOD. That is absolutely atrocious to leave any living creature in such a state. The snake deserves to be rescued and this jerk deserves to be reported for animal cruelty. Definitely, no matter what you do, do NOT give this guy your Leos. They will suffer horribly and probably be dead within a year or two. Man, nothing makes my blood boil more than seeing any animal suffering due to the inadequate care of an idiot. If you do decide to buy this snake and rehabilitate it, definitely practice strict quarantine procedures. It will more than likely have a bad mite infestation, quite possibly have an RI and will need veterinary care to get it back on the right track. Best of luck!

Wow is that mold in tha snakes water bowl? You really should take tha snake in just to improve its state of life, don't give him anymore animals, obviously he doesn't respect them as living creatures... but maybe offer like 20-30 bucks which is completely worth it jus to save that animal.

To the OP: I wouldn't trade a dead stale housefly for that animal, if it were me. He looks to be in bad shape as has been noted and husbandry is non-existent there. If you're able to, absolutely rescue him but be prepared for what that could entail: potential exposure of your collection to illness/disease, several hundred dollars invested in vet visits only to have the animal die anyway, etc. Rescuing one is a noble thing to do but be sure you can take on the responsibility of a sick, potentially dying animal before you jump in and let your emotions lead your head. Good luck and hope it works out for the best for you and that poor animal both.
