One good reason, here ya go smart guy.

I LIKE it. Here's another. It DOES look cool. And just for fun, here's another, because I don't allow those who can't to tell me that I'm no better than they are.

Maybe you should go fly one, ya know?
    Top-notch attitude, bucko!
Oh, and that's a very good reason you provided ... for someone who puts their ego and "wants" ahead of their pets' "needs."

Let's try to give some actual insight to the newbs like me, instead of showing them how tall your horse has grown these days.

Your comprehension seems to be confused with humor and sarcasm. When you learn to use them properly, let me know and I'll give you some clues that you missed.

And where, ohIlovetojumptoincorrectonclusions, did you see me say that my snakes are not in any way healthy and as happy as they can be? Are you now making ASSumptions? It certainly seems to my tired old eyes that you are and while I don't feel like an ass, you may want to check yourself for extra sphincters.
I may not be very smart, but what if I am?

    Can i do this!!??

I wouldn't house two together. Can it be done? Sure, but there are risks involved. With the amount of money we spend on these animals the risk isn't worth the reward to me.

    Re: Can i do this!!??

It's guys like you that make people in this hobby think we're all chest thumping idiots who jump on bandwagons the way smart people do research.
Ok, so a smart, inquisitive newbie (the OP) came here to do research. And who was the chest-thumper again?
I think we ALL get your point, dude. It can be done successfully. We are all just waiting for you to provide some actual PRO's (the "insight" I was referring to) as to why someone should attempt it. The only ones you've provided so far were the ones I quoted - "I like it" and "It DOES look cool" and "I don't let others tell me how to think."

But you're right about one thing, I did find an extra sphincter when I went checking myself. I am a total a** for being so new and posting in a topic about cohabiting when I only own one snake. I'm such a noob even, I mistakenly thought my horse was as tall as yours. Oops. I've since fallen off, and it feels much better down here.

Can we see some pictures of your cohabiting snakes, so that we can look for signs of what a happy, socialized, cohabiting snake might look like?

Don't house hem together. I've tried and it is a horrible idea. Two of my males were in the same enclosure, it seemed like they were getting along just find. They started dominating each other all day every day. Eventually they fought. It really could have been a lot worse had i not been there to unwrap them from each other.

Nope. You see, while I do understand your need for others to acknowledge you and your accomplishments, I don't have it, that need. You can believe or not as you will without further input from me. If you think I speak untruly, well, you won't be the first and it's doubtful you'll be the last but I promise you, I won't miss a wink of sleep over it. Harsh, maybe, but you all get soooo militant soooo fast that part of the time, hence my earlier reference to both sarcasm and humor, I just push your buttons. Because I can.

You also seem to have missed the point, entirely, that I have never ever said anyone should, just that you could, and have used my own experiences as an example. Whether or not you believe means nothing to me or my snakes.

My horse may be tall, but that's because I have a large ego that in no way relies on any of you to keep it inflated. (there ya go smart guys, an opening if ever there was one)

Do what you want, ask all you want, but don't be doing just because everyone else does, especially if those doing the saying have NO experience.

Yes, as wilomn so conscientiously pointed out, it can be done. However, if you're just starting out, it may be easier to keep them separate and avoid any of the issues that others have mentioned. It doesn't personally interest me to try it out, but I'm sure it could work for you if you bought one of similar size to the one you already have and did a very lengthy quarantine before introducing them.

Careful, well thought out statements like this, good statements, are likely to be misunderstood by some of the posters in this thread. Unless of course they have completely fooled me into thinking that their comprehension skills and attention to detail are less than stellar.

I appreciate all the comments and insight all the users here have given me. I promise I had no idea I was opening pandoras box lol. But I've concluded that there is no real benefit go the animal, only mine.

Like throwing gas on the flames, or maybe the whole tanker...

Hopefully you didn't take anything personally, this is a hot button topic!
