How old is your spider? I had a 3 yr. old albino lay 5 perfect eggs for me last year. She was right around 740 grams after laying them. Her follicles were 22mm when she was 950 grams. She ate well, so I paired her once. She got up to about 1200 grams before laying. I know lots of people here don't like to hear that, but she did great. In fact, now she's 1350 grams after laying last August. She's on her way to being 1600+ grams by the time she's looking at breeding this go around.

Your male could very well be ready to go. That doesn't mean he will, though. But lots of males are ready at 400+ grams. Some still won't breed even when they're 700+ grams and years old... Maybe they're looking for the best looking morph female to spend their sperm on...lol.
