If you have a screen top, covering part of the top of the enclosure can help with humidity. I cover about 75% of my screen top with a damp towel.

    Hi,

What are you using to read the temps and where is it?

I'm just thinking of the line about the thermometer falling.

Well I have two, one digital one with the probe and the other one is one you stick on to the glass. The one that sticks on was on the substrate this morning when I checked on the snake, so maybe it falling scared the snake?

Throw the thermometer that sticks on the glass away. Those just measure the temperature of the glass. I would also recommend a heat gun to measure surface temps. I just got the temp gun 2 for $35 and its a lot of fun.

Okay, thanks for the advice. I just laid it on top of the substrate for now.

I just have a UTH on a thermostat. If the temp drops when the towel goes over it the thermostat takes care of it; Although, I'm not sure why covering the cage would make the temps drop.

He threw up last Friday Jan 4th and is now cruising around looking for food, it was suggested waiting for 2 weeks(Jan 18) before feeding again, I'm worried waiting two weeks going to be too long to wait? He is only 4 or 5 months and hasn't eaten in a month, well besides the time he threw it up.

    Thanks

    Hi,

    Definitely wait.

If you feed before the gut bacteria have recovered enough he will likely throw up again making the problem even worse.

He'll be fine for the two weeks - just keep monitoring his weight if you are worried.
