Can Anyone help with New Setup?
So I have two (2) vision V221's (28w x 24d x 12h) tanks along with a Herpstat 4 Thermostat en route for my baby BP's.
I want to make sure I get them set up properly to ensure a good transition.
I will be using UTH's and 11"x 11" (28 Watt) Radiant Heat Panels for both tanks.
Any initial thoughts?? Any help would be appreciated!!
Thanks!

My first though is hides, which you didn't mention (but it doesn't mean you don't have). Just make sure the hides are nice and snug, and that you have identical ones on the warm and cool sides.

Thanks! I forgot to mention that I ordered 4 Small Hide Boxes from Reptile Basics. I plan on doing exactly what you said in putting one on hot side and one on cold side for each tank.
Where would you put the probe for the thermostat??? Directly under heat panel on top of substrate????

Most people will stick the prob between the UTH and the bottom of the cage.then use a IR heat gun to dial in the temp for the hot spot.

I suspended my probe below the rhp.

Best advice is keep warm spot around 90 degrees and cool spot close to 80. When you snake goes into shed make sure you bump up the humidity as radiant heat panels can dry up the enclosure. Using orchid bark or cypress mulch as a bedding substrate can help hold moisture for increasing humidity. Also covering up ventilation areas help keep moisture in as well.

Thanks!!! Have reptibark in one tank and mulch in another.. I was told the reptibark holds the humidity better. As for the temp probe, where would you keep it?

You'd put the probe in the same place that you would if your rhp was a heat lamp, by the uth. The only thing I'd be worried about is your rhp getting too hot to the touch for your snake but I have no experience with rhps. The rule is usually to place the probe where the hottest surface would be to prevent burning your snake and since heat lamps are usually separated from a snake by a screen, your probe doesn't go on the lamp but I don't know about rhps.
