Yours is a really nice, bright example of Enchis. I've seen Hooblah's and RoseyReps threads and they both have stellar examples of the morph as well. Unfortunately, not all Enchi's can be "The nicest Enchi I've ever seen". I'm looking at the banding and blushing on these guys, and taking into account that they are cell phone pics. I was leaning toward the second one personally because his pattern looks cleaner, with fewer visible spots. Can anyone who voted for #1 tell me why they prefer #1 over #2?

Are you looking for an enchi het ghost? There are a few guidelines that I consider since I've been looking at enchi threads and ads. I like seeing the contrast between the lower yellow half and the bronze / copper tones on the upper half of the side of the body. The higher the yellow the hotter they look. Pattern is another thing, but without nice color, the pattern doesn't do as much for me. Zero dots is cool, but as you can see from the enchi that I posted pics of, I'd sacrifice a few dots to get that insane contrast and glowing orange. Hot color - 95% hot pattern, yet it still blows me away .
If you go to page 2 of that enchi thread that ms doolittle posted, you can see the first enchi doesn't have such a high contrast, but she's got great pattern, nice red blushing on her back, and overall, a nice balance of dark/light colors so she looks gold.
That enchi het pied didn't have a high contrast, but he had some nice bright gold colors and very very very few dots. I think if you count them, there were 3 dots .

I wasn't looking for an enchi het ghost really, but as I've started seeing more and more enchi combos, I thought about it. My butter was sold to me as poss het ghost, so I thought that if I had a male enchi 100% het ghost, I could go for butter enchis and cross my fingers for hypo butter enchis if the butter proves. But, I also have a ghost female that has a unique look to her IMO, so I figured a male 100% het would be good to have for her for next year too.
I'll have to see if I can get some pics of the Enchi male I brought home from Hamburg on 12/1 taken and posted tonight, if he's not in shed, so I can post them for some opinions too.

The brighter the yellow the nicer the enchi.
Banding is nice, no spots even better, but to be a nice enchi IMO it should scream yellow on the sides.
Mine is a bit darker up top due to being a black back also, but super bright yellow too.

Personally neither of those enchi's stand out to me, but that might be the pics not showing them off well.

Great enchis everyone!

Here's my guy at around 500g. What I love about him is the color that the hypo brings out and his banding. When I thought about adding an enchi hypo to my hypo projects, I thought about 1) the color and 2) trying to find a relatively clean enchi with tons of banding. I like the blushing the two enchis you posted have on their backs (and I like how clean #2 is), but I'd want more of the "enchi yellow." As others have also said, the yellow should ride up the sides and just scream at you, "I'M AN ENCHI!!!" It's also possible the pics aren't showing the colors of those enchis off as well as they should. In my opinion, I'd hold off for the moment and see what else is out there.
Another thing I'd consider is whether you want an enchi het hypo male or if you want to save up and go with an enchi hypo. You mentioned you have a female butter PH hypo and a female hypo, so if it were me personally, I'd save for the enchi hypo if you were really looking to dive into hypo projects. There are a few reasons for this.
1) You'll have a better chance of proving the butter PH hypo is in fact het hypo, and the worst case scenario is that you produce all animals that are guaranteed het hypo (enchi butters het hypo would be sweet!).
2)You can also breed the enchi hypo to your hypo female and produce at least hypos, and possibly a lot of gorgeous enchi hypos. Female enchi hypos are like gold in my opinion.
3) You can breed the enchi hypo to any other animal in your collection (the fire female for instance) and produce powerful combos that are also het hypo.
It all depends on how invested you want to be with the hypo gene, but that's just my two cents on that. I can't wait to see the photos of the enchi you have in your collection.
