    temporary Boa caging

ok so my addiction is growing faster than I can find adaquate caging. soooo heres my temporary solution. I had a couple extra 55 and 65 gallon fish tanks sitting around. So while I recop from xmas spending and look for affordable stackable housing this is what i've done. I pulled the plastic molding from the top of the tank. framed it with 1x3 stacked a couple 1x2s and used a router to cut tracks for sliding glass doors. used left over wire mesh from my rodent racks as ventilation. got the glass doors cut to fit from my local ace hardware. i used liquid nail construction adhesive to hold the wood to the glass. the rope you see holding the frame work was just to hold it in place while the adhesive cured and i was to lazy to take it off. lol. also used display case locks to keep them from pushing the doors open. hope this helps. I dont always check up on my threads but feel free to pm me if you have any questions on this or any other make shift ideas ive shared.

    Therein lies the problem....

I have 7 unused tubs right now "just in case." And I'm by no means a large collector/breeder.

    Re: temporary Boa caging

Lol I have plenty of rack space for babies and even adult balls but Ive just gotten the boa addiction. I wasn't prepared caging wise for them. My qt room has plenty of racks also but I don't like stuffing sub/adult boas into tubs. I'll post some picks of my qt room sometime soon. It's got 14. 41 qt tubs ,12. 15 qt, 5. 28 qt, and 32. 6 qt plus my make shift boa housing. Every time I get a store bought rack I move one of my crappy diy melamine ones onto the qt room. I'm prepared caging wise for balls but this boa bug I cuaght came unexpectedly and moved fast. Lol

Lol, I am going to pick up my second boa in a couple hours.

However, I also have new ball on the way too. :p
