    Quality Pastel

I'm looking into getting me a quality pastave male or female (depending on my holdback from my lesser boy's first clutch). What are some good things to look for? I'm unfamiliar with both morphs and would love some tips. Specifically, how can I pick out a nice pastave that won't brown out too much with age?

With pastels you want as little orange/brown as possible, as both are what turn ugly down the road.

Here is my pastel 100% het clown female as a hatchling:

and here she is at a year old and weighing 1000 grams:

I recently got a mojave male and am hoping to produce some hot pastaves in the future.

Garrick has the nicest pastels . I would get into contact with him. If he doesn't have a pastave available, I'd find out if and when he might have some available, then wait. Getting the top quality pastave would be well worth the wait, considering a lot of the pastaves look like high yellow mojaves.

Oh man, he's got a smokin pastave for sale right now.

The cool thing about his available page for pastels is that he has them appropriately priced based on quality. The much nicer pastels will be priced as such, and the ones that didn't come out as hot as they could are priced the regular price that you will find everywhere else.

    Oh wow! He's gorgeous!

So I want to look for high blushing, yellow (more light yellow?) and little/no orange/gold. Sound right?
