    Nice set up!
    You can use a different substrate to boost humidity as well as the larger water dish. Coco husk or cypress mulch retain humidity really well.

    aspen was the choice lol I'm sure I can spray it down right? That is what I did earlier. it's still at 38%

    You can place some damp moss in the enclosure too if you don't want to switch substrates.

    just to double check, wouldn't the thermometer work better inside the cage where it can give a reading of the ambient temps as well as the probe on the hot spot? I'm not sure if you just have it out there for now but I thought I would ask.

    if you want to spray down id suggest cypress...aspen tends to mold

    the probe is inside the tank over the heater.

    If you want to measure the humidity the unit needs to be inside the enclosure.
