NYC! Where to get frozen rats?

I live in NYC and I have tried all the major pet places Petland/Petco/Petsmart but I'm having a hard time finding quality and appropriately sized rats. I would order them online but I don't want to buy 25 rats at a time. I found one place that ships 10 rats at a time..but shipping would be close to 40$.

Do you have any mom and pop pet shops near you? That is where I get my live rats for one of my BPs.

Sorry, I just saw you were asking about frozen. Do you know if there are going to be any reptile shows in your area in the near future? Two of my snakes eat FT rats, and I picked some up at a Repticon a couple of weeks ago. Not a bad price, and I didn't have to pay shipping charges.

It's probably not super close to you buy I've started buying from reptile shops out here on long island. I've been trying to keep my BPs on rats but they're really too small yet for the smallest rats they sell at the 'big box' pet stores. I wasn't super thrilled with the quality either. I just got back home from buying 10 rat pups from Repxotica out in West Islip which are a way better size (and nice quality) for my guys. I've also bought from DnJ Reptiles in Amityville. If that's all too far I can ask my sister where her boyfriend gets stuff in Queens.

Mike hano he lives in the city I believe. Go on the white plains reptile show vendor list and give him a call. Great guy, you can pick up the rats and they are great quality.

I think I'm going to meet up @ his house, I'm setting up a meeting with him this week. I'm getting a A.P enclosure for my BP sometime this month, which means I will have a free glass tank, which means I will probably blow my budget on Bearded Dragons.
