You can hunt them via rifle, big calibers for a double lung shot, giant calibers (big nitro express rounds for example) for 10 yard straight on though-the-forehead-brain-shot, and there are even plenty of bow-kills on youtube. A typical bow setup is with HEAVY arrows, BIG (300+ grain) fixed blade broadheads (better penetration than mechanicals), and 100lb draw compound bows. Many shots at elephants take place under 30 yards, even with firearms. Big, dangerous, close
I got to shoot an elephant once, used my Canon.

Lol if you want to show off rounds. The one on the left is a .50 the one on the right is just the projectile for a 37mm

I will say that .50 of yours kicks butt.

Guns are such a "taboo" topic out here I didn't even think to take a picture when I picked up my shotgun a couple months ago. Well actually I did take a picture on my cell phone to send to my husband, then deleted it. Guess I'll have to get with the program so I can add mine to this thread! Mine is a 12ga Maverick Mossberg shotgun. Nothing fancy, but it is really only meant for home defense right now.
Why keep a snake? Why keep any animal? Because you enjoy the animal, find something beautiful and fascinating about it, and it fits seamlessly into your lifestyle.
