You two are lucky, then. My father in law's C9 seems to jam roughly once per magazine, and it's not the only example I've heard of that is like that. Even if that wasn't the case, there seem to be a lot of objectively better options in the pistol world; there are a lot of guns that are lighter, slimmer, and carry more rounds, along with being produced by companies with a better reputation for reliability. The main advantage of the Hi-Point guns seems to be price, and in the long run, that's minor compared to ammo anyway, even if you reload.

I was trying to find a pic of us shooting my husband's Cetme but I think I lost them when I changed phones.. I'll try to find another..
As for glocks my husband was pleasantly surprised with his service glock.
For pistols, We recently traded in our xd for a Beretta for his backup. And I carry a bersa 380. I love it because it's a great shot and It's very concealable...

I prefer a gun that works more than just at the range.

I saw a HiPoint that was used to hit a man in the face. The pistol broke into a thousand pieces. It was insane. The gun was everywhere and the guy only had a busted lip. I stand by, they are junk.

And yes Beretta may be the parent company but they are not made to the same standards. Taurus has come up over the years but a Beretta it is not. Just because they have the same owner does not make them the same.
