    Yup! It is absolutely possible.

    Years ago I paired up a couple bps and never saw them lock or anything close to it and trust me, I checked up a lot. I actually thought all the interruptions were the reason they never hooked up. I put my male with other females and was going to leave the female till the next year. Either he did the job or she retained sperm because she gave me eggs that season much to my pleasant surprise.

    So is he? I don't know. Could he have? Yup!
