    Asking for Someone Else

What is the smallest cage a six foot ball python should be housed in? Currently it is housed in a three foot glass cage. A friend of mine asked me this question and I honestly didn't know for a ball python. For a RTB, it should be big enough to stretch out. But for a ball python, is it the same?

I would house it in a 4 X 2 foot cage that is 12-18 inches tall...

My girl Akashi is pushing 6' long. She's a monster of a ball python. She resides comfortably in a 36" long X 15" wide X 11" tall rubbermaid tub. Yes, it looks much too small for her, she has to double herself up to stretch, but she eats like a machine and had a healthy 12 egg clutch, so I guess she's satisfied. Well, that and the fact that she's my dollbaby and I can do anything with her leads me to believe she's ok.

    Thanks, everyone!

I believe the snake is a 10-yr old male, but it belongs to a friend of a co-worker. So no pictures Thanks for telling me the cage is a bit on the small side. I will tell her it needs to be 4x2x2. I do everything I can to push this site to anyone in the High Desert of CA that tells me they have reptiles.
