    I don't think it's sad. I would much rather read / comment / joke with the people on this site than pretty much everyone on my FB (except those of you all that are on there, duh)

    I mean, it's like... I love you guys, ya know? You guys...you guys get me *sniffs* GROUP HUG!

    Ok, I'll try and control myself. *hands in pockets*

    Not sad at all actually....
    You have more in common with the people on this site, therefore it's easier (and you'll be much more willing) to talk to the people on here.

    Re: Is it sad that

    It's only sad if it makes you sad. If you get satisfaction from your relationships/conversations up here, then that's a good thing, at least in my book. And if this occupies more of your time for now than fb chat with your non-herp friends, for example, so what? If it ain't broke, don't fix it. I'm sure your "real-life" friends and family will resume a bigger role in your life when you're back with them. Hope the next 5 weeks fly by

    Thumbs up

    I see it Mike, and that is hilarious!! It almost looks like he's trying to evolve, in which case someone should tell him that reptiles didn't evolve from dinosaurs and that one individual can't evolve! LOL Very cute. I definitely have a lot in common with people here in terms of reptiles/snakes and other things like ink! I can't wait to get home and get some more ink! And no, it isn't sad to me, as I stay in excellent touch with folks back home.

    If you think about it a lot of social networking is sad. Phone calls or face to face I say. Unless that's not possible. (Army...) BUT forum people are usually way cooler than FB people. BP.net FTW!(;

    I'm embarrassed to admit that I only have two IRL friends. And I barely see them :/

    Bp.net keeps me sane..

    I've got plenty of friends back home but even making phone calls from over here can be a pain in the butt. As has been suggested I will definitely be spending a lot of time with friends once I'm back home but I will still get on here at least every other day if not every day to check in, get advice, and share pictures, stories, etc. as well as look at your pictures, stories, etc.

    Sheesh.
    Honestly, All my school (people I knows) "friend me on facebook, we never talk in real life. Seriously. I just use facebook mainly for a constant flow of Harry potter and reptile pictures from m news feed.
