I like the colors on the black-pastel spider, the spine is very bright, the black is a deep black color and I prefer the busy spider pattern. It might be the picture but the fire-mojo looks very dull to me. The fire-mojo looks pretty small as well, make sure they are good eaters because I wouldn't want to buy a picky eater.

I also love how dark the spiders blacks are. Would love to have that same level of darkness with less alien heads though.

Both pictures were taken right after the post-hatch shed, so neither had eaten at the time. I've got a couple picky eaters already and they are the bane of my existence most weeks! Hoping to get an update on their initial feedings next week.

I would rather have the mojave fire for the genetics. Fire anything looks really amazing. Especially with yellowbelly.

I bet a mojave fire yellowbelly would look fierce!

From what the Black Pastels do to pins, I'm guessing the spider pattern is busy due to the BP gene.

I think you're right about the Blk Pastel busying up the pattern. There was a sibling to this one that wasn't blk pastel that had a much more reduced pattern. That actually makes me feel better about the busy pattern since it's possibly just a bi-product of the combination rather than a genetically busy spider. I guess time will tell!

Very close call for me at least. I personally love the Black Pastel gene, but with a Fire Mojave combo available, I would lean more towards it. Fires and Mojaves have a lot of potential!

Hopefully I'll actually be picking up both of them! So, luckily I don't have the problem of having to choose between them.

One thing I do not like is how spiders eat up the black pastel gene.
Most blackbee's are nothing special, just a ugly spider with another gene.
Yours actually has the look a blackbee should have IMO.
Blackbees SHOULD be busy patterned, not look like a clean bee
