Apologies for what follows, but this sort of error irks me and I need to get it out of my system, so bear with me:
The last name of the main character in Highlander, whether you prefer the movie (Connor) or the TV series (Duncan), is MacLeod. It's not something that rains on you.
That said, I agree that Ryan Reynolds will make an awful MacLeod, and that some (most, with Ocean's 11 being a rare exception?) things are better left un-remade.
Highlander aside, I guess Disney can't ruin Star Wars any more than Lucas already has, but I've got no interest in giving them any of my box-office dollars for it. That Disney font/Death Star mashup graphic is pretty awesome, though.
