HOW do you tape the thermostat probe?

In a glass tank where do you tape the probe? Inside the tank above the UTH or under the tank above the UTH?

either under the UTH, or in between the UTH and the bottom of the tank. placing probes inside the cage isn't considered to be as safe as the snake can move the probe off of the heat source.
