    Johnson control trouble

I didn't know where to post this but I need help with my JControls. It was working fine up till two days ago. Pretty much there is something loose, my JC has the green light on but the power strip where u plug the heat tape or racks isn't on. I would wiggle the power strip in different positions and sometime it would turn on sometimes not. I've token the JC apart but only look inside I haven't touch nothing yet. So does anybody know what I should be looking for ?

    Re: Johnson control trouble

if by moving the wire makes it work and then it doesn't. you have a bad connection. this could be a cold solder joint. first place I would look at is the output wire that you plug everything into. see where it connects inside the control boxs. without removing the wire just resolder it. might have to add a little solder to this connection. make sure the solder is for electronics not plumbing. and then test to see if you fix it by wiggling the wire and it should stay on. good luck with it don

To wire a Johnson you don't solder anything so I'm not sure what the previous poster is talking about .

It sounds like you just have a loose connection. Find the loose wire, unscrew that terminal, push wires firmly into terminal and retighten.

Should be a super easy fix. If you have any questions contact me via email and I will try and help anyway I can
