Another show about exotic animals as pets

Now, to their credit, it's aimed at people with lions and tigers, and bears oh my! But, that doesn't mean that people won't lump everyone who has "an exotic animal" in the same circle.

Not to jump on you here or anyone else Kodieh we're all entitled to our own opinions, but I fail to see any difference between having a lion, tiger or bear compared to having an anaconda, reticulated python, poisonous snake or any other dangerous animal that can kill you. In my personal opinion dangerous exotics are dangerous exotics regardless of the species and if you want to own one you should be aware of the animals needs and know what you're doing before owning one. With that being said, I don't see any reason to bash exotic keepers as long as they are responsible about it.

When you label retics, bears, or venomous as "dangerous", you should remember that dogs kill more people EVERY YEAR than all those you mentioned added together. In fact, horses kill more. In fact, you could even add in Great Apes to the ones you mentioned and dogs would STILL kill more.

Don't fall for the old PeTa/HSUS tactics. First they ban the "obvious" dangerous species, then it's lesser 'dangerous' species, and then they start pointing out more common animals that are actually MORE dangerous by the math until it's nearly impossible to own any pets at all.

There are tons of people who own things like tigers. It's extremely rare that someone is killed by their pet tiger... in fact, checking the reports.. it's nearly unheard of. No one has been killed by a pet chimp in years. Yet there's thousands upon thousands in private hands. Do not fall for the media put out by Peta/HSUS.

I couldn't agree with you more Wolfy..... which was my point about about Kodieh's post suggesting that they are talking more about "lions and tigers and bears" being more dangerous than other animals. Regardless of the animal, keepers should know how to keep them.

Well, in the past twenty years, only about 10 people have been killed by large constrictors and the vast majority of those were due to owner stupidity.

I honestly am against keeping Tigers as pets outside of a real zoo where the tiger has huge amounts of space, also monkeys.

You would be surprised at the amount of space people will give to their animals. Not everyone lives in the city. Horses usually have several acres with a good keeper.

Oh man a couple of those shots are pretty scary! The animals all looks healthy and clean though. It would be interesting to see what the show was about, we don't have nat geo wild, only nat geo Stupid dish, I had to pay extra for Animal Planet and Nat Geo and they don't even give me all of them AND take away Walking Dead
