She actually talked me into our first snakes as a couple, our beautiful pair of Macklot's.

They will be 4 years old this winter, so I know exactly how long we've been together, LOL.

    Re: noobie

You lucky guy. I hope I can get my girlfriend into herps. I hadn't had any while being with her until just this week when I scored 2 babies. I got one normal and one black pastel both born at the end of July. The first time she came over I had them in my 20 gal long with just a bowl and some fir bark. She stood in the doorway petrified, I had to go to her and grab her hand and lead her into the room slowly. The next time she visited I had decorated the terrarium with trees, hides, greenery etc, then she said it was pretty and couldn't take her eyes off of it. Go figure. Hopefully she'll appreciate them the same way I do.

Just give her a few days to adjust... those sweet faces with pouty lips will win her over & before long she will be cooing over them and giving them embarrassing pet names like "Weesie weesie" & "Ti-Ti a Wee" . And if theres one shes not fond of it will still get a pet name like TTB... for "Tiny Turbo B*@!!#"
If a tree falls in the woods and nobody hears it.... I'm bringing home another Ball Python.
