Thats what I was going to say. Apparently an HG lesser is like a het. Platty... Which is actually what it is. Now my question is how do you determine a snake as het. Platty? Does it have to be of a direct lineage or can it be likes descendent? Don't mean to draw the attention away, just curious.

No, the Het Platty/Daddy gene is really NOT that mysterious, and it is not possible for a lesser platinum to carry it--ever. Het Platty is just another gene in the BEL complex, that's all. It is allelic with Lesser Platinum (and the other BEL complex snakes). If you breed a mystic to a mojave, you get a mystic potion--if you breed a het Platty to a Lesser, you get a Platinum. Breed a platinum to a normal, and you get 50% lessers, and 50% het Plattys. A Platinum is just like a BEL, or a Mystic Potion. It's a super form.

So, NERD's lessers simply cannot carry the daddy gene at all--no lesser can. Their HG Womas could, but not their lessers.

I just watched the NERD video on that, and now the question arises whether the HG Womas there are carrying another gene entirely that is not the 'Daddy' gene, but is instead another gene allelic with the BEL complex. The super form of this gene would be the Pearl, which would mean the HG Woma doesn't have a super form, perhaps? If a Pearl can be produced by breeding a HG Woma to an HG Woma 'normal sib', then that normal sib must be a Het Pearl, and the Pearl gene must be the one responsible for making a Soulsucker...which means it has to be in the BEL complex, doesn't it?

So, in spite of what Kevin believes about the Lesser there, perhaps the real star of the show is the Pearl gene? Just speculating.

I'm not sure what you mean. Pearl is fatal, but het Pearl is not fatal. Lesser/Het Pearl is perhaps not fatal?
I'm really just speculating, but it COULD explain what's going on, couldn't it?
