I stopped shaving completely for a couple months after I got out of the Marines but I cant stand having too long a beard. It only got about 2 inches before I trimmed it. My avatar pic is of me about a year ago when I was still in. Now I keep a beard but I trim it back and maintain it. I had a beard my senior year in high school and I was one of only a couple that could actually grow one so I felt pretty special.

MasonC2K I am right there with you. I am 25% Cherokee and have really sensitive skin and hit and miss facial hair. After being in the Army for 6 years, my first goal was to grow a beard. I was somewhat heartbroken when I realized that after joining at a young age when I was unable to really grow facial hair, I hadn't gotten any better at it over the years

Yep. At least I don't have to worry about going bald. I've grown my hair out considerably (if you couldn't tell from my avatar pic). I guess that is some sort of compensation. I rock a hard core ponytail. LOL!

I fully shave every year or two for some reason or other and feel pretty exposed until I have an inch or two of growth. The longest I've gone without a good trim is probably 6 months give or take. I can't go more than a couple weeks without trimming the stache though, I get annoyed trying to eat otherwise.

Here's a glimpse of my beard with a fair bit of growth, playing second fiddle to the feral kittens I nabbed..

I hate facial hair and shaving. Shaving is a PITA lol. If i could just instantly have a beard thatd be cool but after not shaving for like 2days my neck is so itchy i can hardly stand it. I think the longest ive gone without having is like 4 days haha.

The only time I actually grow out a full beard is during 'no shave November'. And for a 17 year old mine's completely full and could grow at the rate of a little less than .5 inches per week ._. And during that time my mom called me Osama Bin Laden.

I used to have a short goatee that I trimmed every week, but, shaved that off. Now I just shave everyday. Which I hate, yay Indian genes! :/

I can't grow a beard for crap either. Like Chris and few others, it comes in fairly patchy, but I've had a mustache and goatee for several years now. I used to have it down to my armpits or so, but work makes me keep it fairly short these days. It is probably only about an inch now. I'd love to have a full on viking beard, though.

When I was in high school my beard was so epic I could easily buy beer without being carded. Now I wish I wouldn't get carded because now I have to shave stupid AR-670-1.

I would like to think if I was a guy I would have an epic beard.

I personally love guys with beards/goatees. I think my favorite would generally be the.....chin fuzz style? Like just a beard but more like goatee length....a shorter beard kinna thing. That said different things look better on different ppl. Either way imo chins should not be bare.

    FACIAL HAIR FTW!

I will be growing my winter coat starting sometime in October. I usually grow it out from about October until march/april. I would love to go longer but wifey doesnt care for it. Last year I did an Able Lincoln/ Amish looking beard.
