So many curls!!!

This little one is going to be a holdback for me. She is about 2.5 weeks old now. I was just wondering how will I know if she is a Rex or double rex? I'm leaning towards just a Rex but I wanted other peoples opinions. I know you have I wait for their first molt but I'm impatient

I'm guessing just rex. By 2.5 wekks you generally have a basic idea of what their adult coat's gonna look like. Double rexes have very noticable patches and thin spots, even at that age. Def. a hogh quality rex though, good for you!

I don't know the difference between a Rex and Double Rex. But, I couldn't resist commenting on how adorable that is

For some reason, rex X rex kinda cancels out one another and produce an alternating semi-hairless rat--- https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-A.../s640/cg1.jpeg coutrtesy of Paper Hearts Rattery

That one has great curl! Is it very soft? It looks soft. Rex are suppose to be very soft, but that line isn't as soft and curly as I would like. I am holding back some babies that I am guessing are from my hairless litter that look like higher quality rex like that one. Ill let you know how it goes.
Great rat picture btw! Mine are very very blurry.

Yes she is very soft! I find myself snuggling with her a little more than I probably should lol she is the only one out of the litter that has that much curl. The two male beige Rex ones are moderately curly and very soft. They both have such great personalities too!

Shes going to make a great hold back then! You are going to have just as much fun improving your rats as breeding the snakes.

That would be a rex and not a double rex
