Is this wine cooler ok for incubating?
I know most here have successfully built an incubator out of wine coolers.
However, I'm a little concerned with the width of this particular unit. Will there be problems with air flow since it seems pretty skinny? I plan on getting a computer fan to circulate.
It's a 32 bottle unit that fits 3 wine bottles on each rack. It's about a in-home trash compactor size.

Looks good to me, just make sure the tubs fit!

Craigslist.... look under appliances.... keyword "wine"- you will find plenty no matter where you live.
I have a wine cooler just a bit wider, but shorter than that one, and personally I'm searching for a glass front Coke dispaly case.

im in the process of building a similar one also using a 32 bottle wine cooler
i tried using one 5" computer fan pointing down and it was not enough so like me you will need one pointing up and one pointing down 5" or 120mm computer fans, you can use whatever you want im just telling you what i used, they were 10 bucks a piece at best buy and 3 bucks for a rheostat from radio shack very easy to wire. hers some pics i took so far see if it gives you and ideas best of luck and post pics when its done!

that big open space at the bottom that the fans are not going to hit is just going to get filled with water bottles

This is exactly what I was going to do.
I didn't think the circulation was going to be ok with just 1 fan.
The only thing different I'm going to do is get an AC adapter plug to plug directly into the fan and power plug so I don't need to wire anything.

All the nice big glass ones are like $150-200. I got lucky with this one because it's broken. And as I don't need a working wine cooler, this is perfect!
Maybe put out an ad looking for a broken wine cooler. I'm sure they'll pop up.
Maybe check out a local tech exchange or something?

there's really no need for the AC adapter plug computer fans mostly run on DC but all those old cell phone charger and things you have laying around with those big annoying brick like plugs, all those bricks are power converters to change AC to DC so you could do like i did and just cut the wire to that and use that and presto u have DC for free. some people use Computer power supplies i feel like that's way overkill just to run fans on. the way your thinking about doing it is fine but this can save you a few bucks and you can wire in a rheostat this way which from my understanding is kind of important. it was stressed to me that i use one by a few people.
i added that florescent light in there two just an 18 inch under cabinet florescent light fixture for 10 bucks from home depot i seen them at walmart for 7 right after i bought it too. and i grabbed a blacklight bulb as you can see i thought it would be cool to see the eggs glow XD, but the light is putting off a good amount of its own heat so idk if im going to be able to let it run 24/7 without messing with the temps =/
