So I have seen a few examples of the sugar morph and it is something that I really like. It combines awesome with other morphs, but to be honest I think a nice sugar is a beautiful animal in itself. I know it us fairly new and females run pretty high (from $700-1000) is what I am seeing. I am planning to breed in the next few years and was wondering first of all...
What do you guys think of the sugar gene?
Does it get better with age?
And do you think I should invest in a female now or wait a few years for the new to wear off and maybe prices come down? So show me them sugars if you have them! I would love to see adults too. Thanks!

If you can afford it I would invest in a female. Prices are always going to drop, but if you get a female now it will be ready to breed in a few years. Males will breed young and I think have some nice morph girls is a good way to go. I don't have a sugar but I do have a pastel calico which is similar. From what I have seen, calicos and sugars do get nicer with age. The white tends to get more vibrant as they grow.

Oh my goodness, beautiful! I think that sugar and calico and the pastel gene are made for each other! I got my pied from Dan Wolfe and he has some amazing pastel calicos and combos. I'm really pondering investing in a female. Would take a while for me to save up though.

Re: Show me your sugars, I'm thinking of investing
I picked up this guy at FIRE. Hes only had his first shed so his white is still coming in. I need a better pic of him, hes very brown in this pic but I dont want to bother him too much until he is settled in.

Calico spiders (Caliders) are also a thing of beauty.
My pastel calico came from Dan Wolfe actually. You can't go wrong investing in good females. A lot of breeders are willing to do payment plans if you find one you want but don't have the full amount saved up. It took me 3 months to pay off my pastel calico and it made the day she arrived even more exciting.

I like sugars better than calicos, and am planning to get one myself. I think it's a good choice.
