the worst that can happen is he has to give them up and looses his 250 bucks .... and with the odds of that happening ... i would have deff taken that deal! so win for him

report it? you people are nuts!
Trust me when it comes to the law ignorance is really bliss!!!!
the second those things are reported missing hes gonna have to cough them up no refund!!

option #2 dont report them and if by some act of god they figure out he has them .... this is where ignorance is bliss ... he didnt know so he cant be charged and the same again he would have to give them up no refund... BUT the chances of them figure out he has them slim to none... you honestly think cops are going to investigate a stolen pet? HAHA they will investigate the B&E but there not gonna investigate where the pet ended up. trust me they got better stuff to do

i have been in law school for 3 years now and most of my professors are lawyers that get off to loop wholes and ways around getting in trouble.

The definition of character right there . . . Sometimes its about doing the right thing when it may not be the best thing for you. After all, Character is who you are when no one is looking. Reporting it ensures that another owner in the community is not missing their collection, it's what's best for the possible original owner of the snakes who were wronged, you don't want to be the slimy person who rode the scam and hurt innocent people when it could have been prevented. . .

I also believeit too good to be real deal cause the guy could of put them on craigslist and made money fast and more of it. i know if the permit part possible he could of just been ofloading them to prevent fines ( large ones) and possible jail time if the dnrec people/ health inspector shows up cause in parts of delaware it impossible to get a permit as well as have a permit transfered toother counties.

if he was offloading them due to permit issues why dump the rack and tstat dirt cheap too? you dont need a permit for those....

they are evidence sure but unless u have the actual animal in you possession then they cant do anything anyone spending that much money and housing them for a while would/should know that he could have claimed it was for ... leopard geckos or any other legal reptile really

If being a good person, and honest means I'm a Ned Flanders, then I'll happily take that name any day of the week. /shrug

I don't care if you're a reaper/sower or into karma, that's just bad juju to do something like that.

Or.... if one of us really wanted to act like a Ned Flanders, we could just call and report the issue ourselves now that we know about it. That way nobody's conscience is feeling wonky and if anybody gets in trouble, it's their own fault.

Agreed. As someone who had a $1000 animal stolen from the breeder before she shipped to me, I find that attitude disturbing. I still look for her online and in pictures and this happened almost 3 years ago.

Seriously? You wouldn't feel like this if it were you that they were stolen from. I find your attitude about this very sad indeed.
