How often does posting pics of babies lead to sales?

Just curious... For those that have shared with us pics of your new hatchlings, how often has that led to sales of those babies from that same posting? For those looking at purchasing a ball python, have you ever inquired about the price of one from a non-classified posting (through pm of course)?

I am working on a deal as we speak. I saw the animal and it blew me away so I inquired about it and now I am working something out with the seller. Thats why its important to take quality pics of the animals you intend to sell or even if you are unsure whether you intend to sell. I know when I see low quality pics of an animal I am turned off to the sale but if it looks pretty nice I will inquire about better pics and go from there.

Re: How often does posting pics of babies lead to sales?

I saw Jon F posted a picture of some low white pieds he hatched. I sent him a private message asking if he was looking to sell. I bought myself a female pied the next day. So I dont know how often it happens but I do know it happens.

I've only placed two ads. The rest of mine sell from pictures I've posted. I've never had anything available for available page on my website, because they are usually sold right away.

Re: How often does posting pics of babies lead to sales?

This is a twist on the OP, but I just made an inquiry based on someone's YouTube vid of some adults they owned (not an ad) and wound up with a new hatchling out of it. Point being: quality images of quality animals can definitely lead to sales.

I do a little of both. Generally, I prefer to do pics. Customers tend to be more visually oriented when it comes to buying.

I got my eyeless hatchlings by inquiring on a pic thread on here. I'm sure it happens quite often

Re: How often does posting pics of babies lead to sales?

Not until the last year or so have I really started taking really nice photo's of my animals and since then I've had multiple people wanting to buy some of my animals that aren't even for sale. No question in my mind that the quality of the photo's help with sales. It's always nice to have a solid background color and have good lighting that picks up the colors well.
