EDIT: cant find a link but heres a youtube video thats what i was talking about. I sorta remembered it wrong but its still really impressive. The scientists estimate was totally blown outta the water (thats the part i wasnt remembering right).

On burms and safety:
Keep in mind that of all the large constrictor deaths on record, something like 2/3 or more have been by burms. Now there are a variety of reasons for this (popularity back in the 90s not the least of them).
However when it comes to large constrictor snakes, while a burm can overpower a lone person, I'm of the opinion that a prepared duo can prevent death in any case of a burm deciding to bite and wrap.

I have been told a BIC Lighter is your best friend.
It makes them release instantly, or so I have been told...

Nice pic I used to have burmese I sold my last one about a year ago and now only have ball pythons.
I did like the big snakes but the fact that it took 2 people to handle them safely just got to be more than I wanted to do anymore.
I had them for a long time but for me it was time to downsize.
