In theory it should be a normal or a lesser. It's not a lesser. I'm just trying to rule out anything else that may have slipped in unrecorded.

Technically a hypo is axanthic ghost, but ball python peeps are a bit behind the times when it comes to properly naming traits
But in our little world hypo and ghost are the same thing...

The hatchling looks like it could be being influenced by the hypo gene

Are you sure you put those in the right order? My understanding was that a "true ghost" was a hypomelanistic axanthic. Otherwise, hypo and orange ghost are typically used interchangeably.

I agree that hypo and ghost are the same. I thought OG had a distinct color difference.

In any event, below are photos of the lessers in the clutch for reference. The normals in the clutch are clearly normal.

Hypo and Orange Ghost are the same things. They are basically just different names. You'll see various lines of the same morph on WoBP. There's a great chance that head spot is Hypo/OG influence. I hatched a few 66% hets this season that definitely had odd head markings and head spots. If I wanted to take the time to raise up 66% het Hypos I would have picked the ones with head stuff going on. I'd show some pics but they were wholesaled already

    Regards,

    B

I agree that baby could be het hypo/ghost.

I know hets aren't supposed to be visual, but I have seen so many pictures of het hypos that I honestly think you can pick them out of the clutch they were hatched into. Maybe not just to see one randomly, but with all their siblings, I am beginning to think it can be done fairly accurately.

You have a very nice clutch by the way, those lessers are really sweet.
