    You have to start somewhere. By having an "available" page or a"whats cooking" "future pairings" page doesn't mean you are counting your chickens before they hatch. It just means you expect to have babies available in the future.

    I still don't see a problem with having a site even though you have nothing available to purchase. I think its VERY harsh to tell someone they shouldn't have a website until they have stuff to sell on it. OP didn't ask for opinions on what he had for sale.

    Taking a web design course 12 years ago "doesn't mean anything". Just like how 2013 being 6 months away "doesn't mean anything".

    My point being, it DOES mean something. You can only have babies once a year. Posting your pairings in advance isn't counting your chickens before they hatch, it is just giving the public information on what your breeding plans are.

    Now if he had animals listed for sale that didn't exist, that would be counting your chickens before they hatch.

    I invite you to check out the websites of many breeders that advertise here, as well as many members who list their sites in their signatures. See how many babies they currently have for sale. You might find that many of them have NOTHING for sale and rarely ever do.

    Having a website isn't just about having things for sale. :/

    Sorry if this seems kinda rude. That comment just irks me and is not something I would like to hear if I were the OP.

    it's his money, and he can run his site if he wants to. judging by his sig

    WTF Morphs Of Manchester (NH)
    1.1 Jungle/Lemon Pastel
    0.1 Lesser Blackback
    0.1 Axanthic
    0.1 Het Pied Female
    1.0 Mojave
    0.1 Pinstripe
    0.1 Spider
    1.0 Poss DH Tribal/Caramel

    I don't see anything showing. Breeders have their websites for a reason, because they have produced animals.

    I never said "don't have a site", I just suggested a few things. You seemed to over look the nice things I said like "Pics are great, huge though, but no issues for me. Layout is clean, and easy to browse through."

    As someone trying to breed snakes like myself, money can be tight. Running a website on a host server like wix, I'm sure isn't cheap. Especially for anything of 6 months to a year without any sales in between, like shirts, or hats etc.

    He can do whatever he wants. The brewing part I understand. That's fine. I'm holding off my site as it costs money to make the site. again, until I have clutches under my belt, there won't be a site.

    What do you mean by "don't see anything showing"?

    Not all breeders have websites, and not all people with websites have bred. My point is that it doesn't matter how many clutches or how many snakes he has before he can decide on running a site. It is a personal choice, like you said.

    I didn't overlook the nice things you said, I just chose to respond to the particular comment I didn't agree with. I even quoted just that part as to not cause confusion.

    I understand what you mean about the cost of the site. I personally design and manage my own sites, so it is much cheaper to maintain.

    I'm not trying to start a fight. Just bringing up the facts based on my experience with other breeders websites.

    That's cool. I'm glad you design and manage sites. It's not easy doing it. I would just hope the OP isn't spending a lot of money on something they don't have yet. I'm super excited about the process, but all businesses need to be budgeted right?

    I'm not trying to attack the OP, just again my suggestions.

    What I meant by the "not showing" was any signs of production 0.1.4 example. Just off that.

    No harm here, just from experience using those sites that have a template to build, cost a lot. Not sure if you've seen how they work.

    alrite im going to type my thoughts as I browse

    so im at the homepage and first thing I notice is the very blue background, that take up more area than the content does, i realize it is perfect size for 1024x768 resolution, which is no doubt the most common res size. but on higher resolution screens there is more blue background than content. As a quick fix I would suggest using a lighter color or if your able to, a light gradient background. would at least not make the background look so bold compared to the content on bigger screens. Again only a suggestion, not sure how much you can do, i see you used some sort of site builder, but ill post the code since I happened to have it right in front of me.

    instead of
    Code:
    <style type="text/css">
        body {
            background-color:#0d064a;
            color: white;
        }
    try
    Code:
    <style type="text/css">
    body {
       background-color:#hex for light color; /*for a browser that is not IE webkit based or firefox*/
       background: -webkit-gradient(linear, left top, left bottom, from(#color1), to(#color2));/*chrome n safari*/
       background: -moz-linear-gradient(top,  #color1,  #color2);/*firefox*/
       filter: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.gradient(startColorstr='#color1', endColorstr='#color2');/*ie*/
    }
    ideally though, you want your content to be fluid and grow with the bigger screen, but again i have no idea how much you can do with those web builders.

    i saw someone already mentioned the apparent double logo, but it does stick out.

    so im looking at pictures on the home page and my mouse turns into the selectable mouse, so i click on the pictures but they don't do anything, so either make them do something, or dont make my mouse change lol. also I see the file names of the pictures when i hover over them. I really dont need to know it's picture random letters and numbers

    Lay out looks nice, page animations are smooth. I think the picture layout is great. only other thing I really notice is the email isn't clickable, you can easily do this by changing your email to this...
    Code:
    <a target="_blank" href="mailto:pythons@wtfmorphsofmanchester.com">pythons@wtfmorphsofmanchester.com</a>
    bout all i got
