Nothing wrong with a good book for sure. Only problem with this industry is once a book is published a number of new things have come out. Its such a fast evolveing industry

True, and I'll give you that. But for things like basic knowledge (temps, humidity, enclosure, what they should eat, etc) it basically stays the same. And besides, if new info comes out or you want to add stuff to the original, you could always make a vol. 2 or a small book that adds to the bigger book.

You just gave me a really awesome idea for something (can't disclose what it is though), so I thank you in advance!

I'm looking for a book as well, but I want one more concentrated on the biological aspects of ball pythons or pythons/boas in general. I'm about to order 'The complete Ball Python' by McCurley because it's one of the only books available in Europe and I only read good things about it.
I can't find 'Pythons of the world Vol2' in Europe.

Has anyone read McCurley's book?

You should be able to buy ball pythons of the world volume 2 directly from the vpi site. I'm sure they wouldn't mind shipping one to you.

This book is flat out amazing. It has everything (and I mean everything) you could possibly want to know about these snakes. Very detailed. I just won a signed copy from a raffle to benifit USARK. I highly recommend this book. It has everything.

I'm sorry but that's not going to happen. I've only had bad experience with oversea shipping from the US and 40$ for shipping is way too much for just a book. I called some book shops and looked online but Pythons of the World Vol2 is not available in any european book store.

I'm going to buy McCurley's 'Complete Ball Python'.

I can attest to VPI's ability to ship this book with no problems.

And, while I love the complete ball python if it is biology you are wanting then there is nothing even in the same class as the VPI book.

I know the issues with shipping overseas, but it shouldn't keep you from getting this awesome book! I'm fairly sure they are the only source for the book.

This is great for basic care information and generalized information, which is what beginners need most.

I realize I'll probably get tarred, feathered, and burnt at the stake for saying this, but I wouldn't bother with this one. I realize it's practically the bible and EVERYONE seems to recommend it, but it's out-dated and not very relevant anymore. Instead, I'd suggest "Ball Pythons" by Colette Sutherland from TSK. It's going to be about the same price, and a lot more up to date.

In my defense, I DO own the Ball Python Manual, I DID buy it from LLL, and it IS better than nothing!
