"What's the sellers name?" is not advise. Am I at least just 99% wrong now?
Are you really that dim? Knowing who the seller is, possibly a name already known for either good or bad, can be quite important in subsequent advice. I'll break it down even more for you since you seem to not understand how this can work.
If it's a well known name, or a name that can be vouched for by someone known and trusted, then a logical conclusion not to worry can be reasonably reached.
If it is a well known name for being a bad guy, time is of the essence.
If it an unknown name then here we have the beginning of a reputation for either good or bad.
See how it works?

Just saw this thread today for the first time. I actually got a nice big hognose female from him a few months ago. I sent him a deposit and then he delivered her to a local reptile show where we closed the deal. I felt he was really easy to work with and the snake is doing great.

So, other than some poor communication skills, this guys seems to be alright. Provided he improves this is a good start to establishing a good online reputation. Without the name the person who got the hognose could not have added their information about him.
Sometimes the ride can be rough. The good guys figure it out. Hopefully this guy will too.

So everything worked out? Great! Good thing we all didn't jump to conclusions and start demanding names.

Apparently not as dim as you, since all your hot air and demands for a name were unnecessary. But good luck with your next witch hunt...

I can see that your superior intelligence has allowed to you ponder and discard the notion that had this actually been a guy who was set on thievery, a name would have been important for a number of reasons. No doubt you considered them all, the fact that time would be of the essence (the longer the time from the crime the less likely the crook to be caught as you no doubt were quite well aware), along with the fact that when people who are running scams rarely stick to a single victim. Of course your well endowed cranium stretcher knew this, knew that it was a valid concern, but somehow, being the uber-intelligent member of this little inquiry, decided for all that it was simply not necessary in spite of the fact that had you been wrong it would not have been your loss, but that of an innocent victim. I'm sure you gave this considerable consideration before chiming in time and again, get it chime and time not only rhyme, but make a wonderful double entendre', that there was no need for ANYONE, no matter what opinion they may have had, needed to know anything about this person. I suppose I should, really, thank you for being so willing to take the responsibility upon your no doubt overly broad shoulders and bear the burden for those of us too consumed with actually trying to help the OP to understand the depths of the depravity that asking his identity exposed in those of us so foolish as to think it important at all. Oh, if only I were so wise as you. Sigh.
Trust me boyo, had this gone south, that name would have been of significance of which you seem, either arrogantly and stupidly intentionally or from pure ignorance, to be oblivious.
But hey, you've no doubt busted a scammer or three and well know the plays of the game most likely to lead to a successful outcome for the party wronged, not a doubt in my mind that were I to be in the OP's position yours would be the first name I would want to see offering aid and sage advice.
AHAHAHAHAHahahahHAhahahAhahAHahAHAhahaHAhahAhahahahaha
I just couldn't do it anymore, it was getting to thick to walk through, but thanks for the vocabulary exercise. See you sleuthing on the BOI.
Oh wait, you don't play in the big-boy sand box, do you? Well, the kiddie pool here needs you too, never you worry about that big guy, you're very very important.
I may not be very smart, but what if I am?
