I don't have an albino but I do have a pair of pieds, and they have one thing in common. Newspaper is not their friend unless you fancy gut-gray snakes.

I have used newspaper for years and I have never had this problem. Guess I'm just lucky?

Albino is a great morph! My female just laid eggs 2 weeks ago and I can't wait to hatch out my first albino baby

I completely forgot about that! I use blank newspaper sheets or paper towels with no problems. Aspen or cypress work fine too, obviously, just whatever works for you personally. And hey, you never know when you might get to read a really good comic strip in motion while your snake moves around should you use newspaper, lmao!

    My albino is great!
He's one of my best eaters and has the best temperament. And I do agree that cosmetic damage is more noticeable on albinos than the typical darker morphs. And I've never had a problem with the newspaper bedding staining either.

Ive had around 5 or so albinos all of which I sold but one. I wish I would have kept my pastel albino but at the time i was getting out of the bino projects. I dunno if it was just bad luck or what but every albino ive had was a problem feeder. From hatchlings to adults they were a pain to feed. They would eat once a week for a few weeks then stop eating for 4 months. The remaining albino would not eat anything i offered for around 7 months before she finally broke an begain feeding. She has since been one of my top feeders. I shy away from newspaper since it would leave marks on them so i use paper towel for my white\albinos.
