    Got a bite

So, I experienced my first bite from a BP today. I am very new to BPs. I am getting one for my kids and I soon so we've been going to the local reptile store and interacting with them a lot lately. My daughter was holding a 2-3 month old Jungle Pastel. He was moving through her hands and I reached out and put my hand up under him and was moving upwards to try to support him. I must have scared him and he have me a quick little love tap. Totally my fault and no big deal. I figure it was bound to happen sooner or later. I think I will k ow enough not to do that again.

No pics. It left a tiny V from the bottom jaw and then a few red marks. Nothing that shows up on a pic. Really didnt hurt at all. That little guy was quick. I was shocked and a bit upset that I caused him to do it.

Oh Slim has a boo boo (Sure it's not ketchup?)

    To the OP

Getting tagged is part of snake ownership (for some it happens more often than others ), don't let this deter you, hatchlings are defensive and it was a very normal reaction.

Now you are rt of a special club

Ive only been bit once and didnt even know it happened bc i wasnt looking lol.

Slim- how has the physical therapy been going for you? Im assuming you had to have the thumb amputated after a bite that severe...

Im guessing that arrived via youre friendly pastel lesser boy?
