Please do correct me if conflicting with other findings but.
Day 1-14. Is mainly development, spreading and thickening of vein network under the shell surface.
Day 15+ everything is settled and veins will be thick. By this time the main mass is viewable at the bottom, this is mainly yolk but on also the embryo rests here. By this time small pulses can be seen, this is the heart pumping blood around the whole egg network.
Day 20-25 the embryo is more active and responsive to the candling light, early in thus appears like the mass has waves, but later, twitches are frequent and whole body movement can sometimes be seen.
Day 30+ main development is 90%complete and movement seems more conscious. Between now and hatching colors and pattern are applied to the skin and the body begins to fill out as nutrients within the egg are used. As the snake approaches final size the moisture from within the egg is expelled to allow the final growth. The egg begins to collapse and people, not used to seeing a fully collapsed egg, freak out thinking the baby is dead inside. Actually the baby Is,more times than not, fine and the lack of movement is because of lack of space due to a normal event in the cycle.
Day 50+ realising there are no more nutrients and space is becoming a bit of an issue the baby tears through the weakened inner skin of the egg, the small amount of liquid inside that skin (in my opinion) is released into the main egg chamber and appears to weaken the shell from the inside. The snake then begins to fight against the shell until it's egg tooth slits the shell.
The snake is nackered by now and has a little rest while it's body absorbs the last part if the yolk mass and then leaves.
