    First escape.

    Remember this pretty lady?

Well, she is gone. My boyfriend was checking her out yesterday and must not have secured the tub properly because as I was cleaning today, the tub was open and there was no snake.

I've already checked all the usual spots. Behind my stove, fridges, Tv's, computers, in the laundry, bookshelves. Basically I have spent the better part of an hour on my hands and knees looking for her.

I just picked her up a few weeks ago and she hasn't even eaten for me yet. I suppose on the bright side she is hungry... but its really hard to deal with the fact that a *VERY EXPENSIVE* snake of mine is missing.. I'm so afraid that I might step on her or hurt her while looking around...

I know most escape stories have happy endings, and I know of all the tricks to use to get them to reveal themselves, but I can't help thinking of the worst case scenario.

    wish me luck guys.

Ugh that's pretty rough hope you find it ASAP!
Side note I'm just bringing this up because it has come up in the past on here. How long have you been with your boy friend, is there any chance he knew how much it was worth and maybe tried selling it? I hate to bring up that option, but there was someone a while back that had that happen to them with their own sister.

No he definitely did not steal it. He is new to snakes. We actually split the cost of this one, so I don't see why he would do this. We have only been "dating" for a few months, but he has been a good friend for years. He would never do anything like this to me. He is just as freaked out as I am and is on his way home from work early to help me look.

I feel like I have found every awesome snake hiding spot in my house... but no snake. Oven, fridges, ripped up the baseboard in my kitchen, I don't have that many tight warm places...

FOUND HER!!!!! What a sneaky snake. Found her on the other side of my house hiding behind a bag of architecture supplies. She sure did travel far!!

I was so worried I threw her away with the garbage while I was cleaning. i even went to the dumpster and tore up all the garbage.. ew.

I am so happy to be able to put my house back together. I am also glad I don't have to set any snake traps.

As for the boyfriend, I can't be mad at him but I can guarantee he won't be leaving the lid open anymore! She wouldn't have been able to escape if she was in my rack, but since she was in a QT tub with a lockable lid, much easier to forget to lock it all the way. I'm just glad she is safe. I don't want to blame anyone.

    !!!!!!! YAY SO RELIEVED!!!
