Warm tomatoes right off the vine are the best!!! I wish I could grow cantalope, don't think it would do well here. We do green beans, tomatoes, zuchinni, and then I have all my berry plants. I love fresh grown food, tastes so much better!Originally Posted by gsarchie

I have a small garden in pots this year as a result of being deployed but at least I have one! And no tomatoes!? I will not tolerate such blasphemy here! LOL I have always grown tomatoes and there is nothing like taking a bite of a fresh tomato right after you pick it while it is still warm from the sun that was shining on it when it came off the vine.
