Egg bound
This is my first season as well as my cinni female 2 days ago she laid 4 good eggs after I remove her from the eggs I realized she still had another egg in her about the middle of her body. I gave her 48 hrs to see if she would push it out on her own (no luck) I tried to message it out her body it move a little bit but it's about 20 just to get it 1/4in should I take her to the vet? Has and one ever been threw this should I just give her some time?
Here a pic the coil by her head is the egg
1. Super pastel

Oh yeah, I can see it. Oh man, I don't know what to tell you. I know people say to give them 24 hours to do it on their own. You definitely want to get that egg out very soon. Does it move at all if you try to push it down? If you can get it out by moving it down her body and letting her try that would be the best, but you may end up having to puncture the egg while it is still inside of her. I'm not experienced with that so hopefully someone else will chime in.

Hopefully some one with experience will give you some advice. I know you told me you were planning on taking her to the vet, any updates?

I got it to move alil more but it's hard when your hands are dry can really slide down her body I'm gonna try baby oil in the am hopefully that will help me or even better maybe that inch or so is the help she needed to push the egg out on her own

I have no clue what to tell you. Have you had any luck getting advise elsewhere? If the egg is still in there it definitely needs to come out soon. Oil isn't the best thing to put on a snake, what if you got her wet and used a wet hand towel to push it down?

Yeah, I gather the standard wisdom is to try to palpate it out, and if that doesn't work, take her straight to a herp vet. Oil isn't great for snakes, but this really is a life and death situation, so just go with what works and try not to use too much.
Hopefully one of the big breeders who's had experience with this will weigh in on the palpating technique.
Good luck. Tell her we're all pulling for her.
