If so, you can wire up flexwatt like that, but I personally prefer not to do so. If I were ever to stop using a certain shelf, that piece of flexwatt would still be running because it's connected to the rest of the other flexwatt. I would rather turn off unused flexwatt. And it's just easier for me to disconnect one piece of flexwatt w/ it's own individual cord.
It's all just a matter of preference.
Lol yea I was worried it would be, I don't have any pics though and posting one I found online would be tricky and tedious on my phone. Um the pic didn't show up but I'm sure you probably have it right. I never realized you could do each individually with a plug. I guess I just never thought of it.

Do do you have to pretty much mass-murder extension cords or can you order them pre-wired? Does it cost a lot extra either having then pre-wired or buying several extension cords to cannibalize?

I cut and soldered my own cords. The extension cords were only like 50 cents a piece at Lowes/Home Depot.

Reptile Basics will cut and wire individual flexwatt pieces for you. Just make sure to let them know in the final order notice in the checkout.
They wire it for free as long as you have all the parts in your order (flex watt, cords, connector clips/insulator).

It probably comes out around a little cheaper if you solder the wires yourself. Then you wouldn't have to buy the connector clips/insulators.
