She is a very beautiful dog. Chad and I have said that we are done with warm blooded animals ( we have 5 dogs ) but we do one day want a hybrid.

That is hilarious! Kira doesn't walk away slowly. She runs around the house like a crazed dog, barking and yipping and howling. If she even hears the camera come on, she does this little growly whine as if to say: Not again!

Thanks! If you ever do get one, you probably won't regret it. They are highly intelligent, very socially oriented dogs. She does well with kids, but I've had to work with her quite a bit to socialize her. As funny as it sounds, they aren't like having a pet. It's more like having a companion that follows your guidance (though they're VERY good at pushing it to the limit and pushing your buttons, lol!). I do believe, though, if you ever got one, you'd love it.

Oh, she's just gorgeous! What a sweet face, too... and since she shares my niece's name (even the same spelling), I know she must be a cool girl.

P.S. This kid today said my dog (Rudy) looked like a wolf, which I've never thought about him... but maybe the kid was on to something, because he actually does kinda resemble your dog! Pretty sure he's just a standard mutt, though. LOL

Thank you! Kira actually picked out her own name. When we first brought her home, we couldn't decide on River, Willow or Akira. She didn't seem too interested in the first two, but responded well to the third name. Somehow, somewhere along the way, the A got dropped, so it ended up being just Kira. I get asked all the time if Kira is a wolf (or occasionally a coyote, lol!) but unless they ask, I don't offer the info. Some people seem to get antsy over a "wolf" in the neighborhood, which kills me because they'd probably be in more danger from their Shih Tzu than Kira. lol! You should check to see if wolfdogs are legal in your area, maybe yours is one.

Aww, thank you for commenting and the compliment. I am glad she could put a smile of your face...she's quite good at that, as she puts one on my every day.
