If you peal them apart you will run the risk of damaging the good egg, if you cut the bad eggs off you run the risk that they are still good.

If you are sure they are bad, I think cutting the bad ones off is the safest way, just clean the good egg with a slightly damp paper towel after and leave the small part of the bad shell attached to the good egg

No, theres no condensation on the lid at all.

I did manage to peel the good egg off the rest, next time I will use your method your suggesting, thats a nice technique.

I'm very sure the rest of the eggs are bad, like I said they smell...HORRIBLE. So bad in fact they got my gagging as I was doing my peeling lol.
After I got the good egg away from the rest I smelled it and it was fine, not foul like the others.

So I'm super bummed that I only have one good egg out of all those from that clutch, but I'm glad it wasnt a total loss.
And my other clutch still has 10 great looking eggs.

    Re: Another egg question.

I had an egg miscarry this year that I couldn't separate from a good egg. I cut open the bad egg and drained it then cut the excess shell off leaving only the shell that I was unable to separate. This was about 10 days into incubation. The good egg pipped this morning and everything looks great!

That is weird, I thought they got wet somehow. They may just be going bad if they didn't get wet. You can pull the eggs apart, you just have to be gentle. I pull all of my eggs apart. If you want to leave them together it should be fine. I did a sort of experiment my first year and left a dead egg in the whole way through. It was attached to one or two other eggs, and the other two eggs never died or got mold on them. The dead egg got so rotten and nasty it turned dark red by the end of the incubation.

    nope, no wetness.
Yeah I thought it was weird too, when I candled them on the DOH they had circular embryos with veins in them.
Now it seems those veins just didnt expand to the rest of egg.

Thats nasty about your rotton red egg lol didnt know they could turn that color.

They may have just not been strong embryos. A temp change maybe. They just weren't meant to be. You can leave the bad eggs if you don't want to cut them away. A good egg won't grow mold. We have a couple burm eggs going bad now that are stuck to good eggs. The good eggs candle great and have no mold at all while the bad ones are covered. But we cant get them apart. Sooo we left them.
If you can get the good egg away from the others you can. Just be careful and don't take to long with them out of the bator.
    Good luck.

Yeah I guess they must have just been bad embryos...
I'm pretty upset about it, but these things happen I suppose I need to get used to that.
I was able to seperate the one good egg from the rest with no problems.
    Thanks for everyones help!
