Definately not het sunglow, Thats not a hypo and based on that information alone I wouldnt guarantee on it being het albino.
As far as it being skinny, it is still a very young boa they could have just unloaded a litter of boas to them and didnt get them eating yet.

I went to Petco to get a couple of feeders (my normal store was closed.) and, of course, I walked past the snakes. They had the scrawniest little colombian boa and she looked horrible. Spine, ribs, dehydrated.
She was still there the next week, in even worse condition. So I brought her home, knowing they were asking an unreasonable price. She's fat and healthy now <3

No I'm sure they don't have the papers. Would she be worth 130 if she were het though.

And I'm not planning on purchasing her. I was just wondering what she was. I get all my little snakeys from reptile show. I buy my feeders from this store.

This snake is absolutely NOT het sunglow. It is possible it could be het albino, but not sunglow.

A sunglow is a boa that displays both the hypo and the albino traits. Since hypo is dominant (incomplete dominant to be exact, but that's another topic), a boa can not carry the trait without displaying it. And that boa in your picture is most definitely not a hypo.

A hypo can carry the albino gene since albino is simple recessive. If a boa is hypo het albino, it is often referred to as "het sunglow" because if paired to an albino or het albino, the offspring may display both the hypo and albino genes and therefore be sunglows.

In my opinion, a normal boa is not worth more than $40-50 depending on pattern, and I've seen normals as low as $30. If it's supposedly het for something, that is frankly worthless without papers proving the genetics. Hets cannot be proven until the animal is bred and produces the trait its supposedly het for. So without papers, such an animal should only ever be sold as a normal unless it is coming from a widely-known and well-respected breeder with a high-quality reputation to uphold.

Also, I really would not buy this particular animal. The more I look at the pics, the more I see just how skinny it is. It's either not very healthy, or it may have feeding issues which is unusual in and of itself with boas....

Unfortunately, while you may have helped that particular boa, it ultimately is detrimental in the long run to rescue (buy) snakes from pet stores. It creates a demand, which means they are more likely to put another boa in there because they sold the last one.

Sidenote: I can't believe how much Petco charges for BCIs. Isn't it something ridiculous like $150?
