    I don't use hides for the most part...only with really shy ones or picky eaters. Here's a few examples of what I use for them...






    They may be slightly less attractive than plain, black plastic hides, but they come in an almost endless variety of sizes and designs. They are disposable, so no cleaning is necessary...and the best thing about them is that they are absolutely free with the purchase of the goodies inside of them. Ball pythons seem to enjoy them as much as I enjoy eating the product they contain.

    I try to wean mine off hides also...helps that they're in a dark AP rack. If the OP is keeping their snake in a tank, hides are definitely a good thing...
