I use whatever is inexpensive. Right now I have a small, cheap Pelonis one from Wal-Mart. I have it all hooked up to a Herpstat with a backup. I have no issues keeping a steady temp and I certainly see no point in spending big bucks on a name brand one with all the bells and whistles that I'm not going to use because its just going to be controlled by another thermostat.
