I would be more than happy to be shown up by a 10 year old boy in this respect...I will openly admit to having an irrational fear of tarantulas that I wouldn't even know how to go about getting over if I really wanted to.

    Anyhow, Congrats to you!

    Congrats! They're beautiful!
I used to have a fear of Ts. But since a rosehair had to be my Bio lab partner2 years ago, I then realized they're harmless and not all creepy crawly after all. I would consider owning one now if my roommates weren't so frightened. They already stiffly tolerate my serpents.

And its funny that I like big Ts, but little bitty house spiders still freak me out at times...

Congrats on the new T's! I was never really too interested in getting one, then on a whim picked one up at a reptile show. Now I have eight, so they do grow on you.

Both your T's look good, that little fireleg is very nice! May have to get one of those next?

My smithi is a little 'skittish' sometimes but will tolerate being held....

:o A reminder that also some tarantulas have something special spiders don't.... while all are venomous to varying degrees of intensity, a few tarantulas have a bonus--when threatened, they can kick urticating hairs, yow! They can get in your eyes, nose, skin, etc and cause a lot of irritation. Just be sure not to tick off your tarantula if they can kick hairs, lol, you don't want them!
