There is a lot of miss indetification with house snake in USA
Most labelled as boaedon fuliginosus are either or B. Maculatus or B. Capensis
Boaedon fuliginosus or Common Brown House Snake is mostly uniform brown with head markings
Subspecie from west Africa are black and labelled in trade as "west African olive house snake" with is miss informing because there are actual 2 species of Olive house snake... boaedon fuliginosus have another phase/morph with is called "pastel" and have peach/orange coloration
