Found a snake, need ID help

My little bro found a snake by his house at Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania.

Any clue what it is? I have no idea LOL

Id say a water snake or garter snake. Those scales look very tight like one that spends a lot of time in the water.

Northern Brown Snake. The twin spots down his back are faint but present. You can confirm via scale count. Pretty typical Storeria species. We have about 3 species of Storeria in Texas that I have in the yard frequently.

And x3! We have them here in MI too. When we had our horses on our property, I would find a lot of them in my hay shed. Whenever I'd go out to feed the horses and moved a new bale, there one would be! I never minded - would MUCH rather snakes in the hay than mice!!

i have always called them dekay snakes as a kid.
