Re: Need Help!
Sorry you lost him,
As soon as I saw the pictures I suspected he was just too far gone though.
I'd also go back to the store you got him from and say what happened.
I wouldn't get another snake from there though. There should be pleanty of good breeders hatching baby normals out soon and that means, not only do you have time to dine tune the setup, but that when you get your new snake he should be a healthy well started youngster.

It's easier to start out with a healthy animal that you know the background on than one from the pet store. I never realized how true that was until I compared my girl to the ones I saw at Petco.

I also thought you might loose him. I am so sorry for your loss. Doesn't matter that you've only had him a couple of weeks, it's still very hard. I am truly sorry it happened like this for you.
If you are interested in trying again, I totally agree with the above posts. Do not get one from a pet store. You can find one from a reputable breeder, a well-started and healthy baby, for only $20-30.
Fix the husbandry things we've mentioned here, read up on the caresheet, get that accurite and the t-stat and get your setup all ready and situated and your new baby will be off to a great start! And, again, I'm sorry this happened.
